Bhering Factory

Santo Cristo

Fábrica Bhering is a former chocolate factory built in 1934 in Santo Cristo, in Rio de Janeiro's port district. The roughly 16,000-square-meter industrial complex preserves original machinery, broad factory floors, old elevators and an early-20th-century clock, while its studios are now occupied by artists, photographers, designers and craftspeople. Its dramatic industrial interiors, rooftop and views toward the port and Guanabara Bay make it a sought-after filming location. The building received permanent municipal heritage protection in 2018.

    Pingo Doce bottling plant exterior

Fábrica Bhering appears as the exterior of the Pingo Doce bottling plant where Bruce works. In the story, a cut allows a drop of his blood to fall into a bottle and eventually reveal his location. The plant interiors, including the bottling-floor action, were filmed separately at the former Consumer’s Glass factory in Hamilton, Canada.
