Twilight Waterfall (Cachoeira do Crepúsculo)

Cachoeira do Crepúsculo is a series of forest cascades and natural pools in Sertão do Taquari, about 24 kilometres from central Paraty. Formerly known as Cachoeira da Usina or Cachoeira do Taquari, it became popularly known as the Twilight Waterfall after scenes for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) were filmed here. A short trail through the Atlantic Forest leads to the pools and the narrow rock channel seen in the film.

During their honeymoon on the fictional Isle Esme, Bella and Edward visit a jungle waterfall. They climb across the rocks, jump into a deep natural pool and swim beneath the cascade. The sequence was filmed at Cachoeira da Usina in Sertão do Taquari, now popularly known as Cachoeira do Crepúsculo.
